Are They Identical Twins? No. They Just Buy The Exact Same Clothes. All The Time.

Everyone is starting to look the same.

Well ok, maybe not everyone. Some of us like to purchase our clothes from stores/countries that the masses will not be running to tomorrow to buy the exact same thing as each other.

Or so we hope.

I am a lover of H&M (Hennes and Mauritz). It doesn’t get much better in the way of affordable clothes. Many thanks to the people of Sweden!

Though, after walking into General Pants (a shop I used to love) *note: used to* I keep seeing the exact same designs of things I’ve bought, or wanted to buy from H&M.

Not only are we so far behind the times we not only don’t have these designs earlier - WE DON’T EVEN HAVE A H&M.

And our designers are apparently finding it ok to steal their designs. And I mean same patterns, cuts and type of material!

Don’t Ask Amanda has produced two pieces so far that I have seen - who knows how many I have missed?! - That are exactly the same as 2 pieces I have purchased from H&M. In July last year and January this year. What is going on?

Stop allowing people to steal creations from the Swedes and just GIVE US H&M!

It is getting ridiculous. We’re starting to all look the same and it’s making my soul sad. I admit, I have bought some mass-produced pieces in the past. Mostly things like lace gloves etc. But I bought them last July. At H&M. Bless.

But I try to mix it up a bit so I’m not walking around in the city and see a chick wearing the exact same skirt as me (but looking better in it).

No deal.

So please, make an effort to buy things a little out of the norm. You may bring a style back in fashion. Just stay away from the 90s. No one was happy there.

Have a fantabulous day… and for me, dress a little differently? (Sort-of-Rhyme: Unintentional)
